I installed Silverlight Album on DNN 4.8.x, but can’t upload photos. I always get this error message:

A critical error has occurred.
Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.

Any suggestion?

Thank you,

Frank

The "NETWORK SERVICE" account needs read and write permission to the "~\DesktopModules\SilverlightAlbum\images\" folder.

Hi Micheal, I use Admin account. How do I check the read and write permission to the "~\DesktopModules\SilverlightAlbum\images\" folder? Can I use FTP to upload files?

This doesn't have anything to do with FTP permission or the DNN Admin account. This is the process that the IIS webserver uses to write the files. The file is coming through the webserver process. It is the process saving the file to the hard drive. Only your hosting administrator can alter these permissions. Show them the lat message I posted, they will know what it means.

Hi Michael,
I have checked IIS. All folders in DNN are allowed for reading and writing. However, I couldn’t upload pictures to this module. Could it be some other reason?

It's not the module. The permission is controlled by the asp.net runtime.
