Michael, here's a security/protection question for you...

I'm developing a silverlight drawing app similar to sketchflow but aim at a very particular niche market.

If a Silverlight app compiles to the .xap file and runs in a module in the browser, what is accessible client-side?

In other words, if I have some smart code in the SL app, do I need to obfuscate, can I obfuscate the .xap file or is this not exposed to risk decompilation?

Sorry, not completely clear on SL mechanics so doing the "research" as I get further into this.

Your advice/thoughts/input would be most useful!

Thanks

A user can get the .dll's out of the .xap (this is really just a .zip file with a different name) so you would need to use: http://www.smartassembly.com/product/editions.aspx

As usual, you're a wealth of knowledge!

I have used XenoCode in the past for .Net assemblies but developing anew using Silverlight and learning the mechanisms/architecture poses all new issues and considerations!

Thanks again.
