Hi all,

I successfully developed my first module using Silverlight 2 and my custom WebService which consumes an rss feed. Now I want to create one new which accesses data in my DNN database. I have little experience in SQL and I have no intention to learn DAL or DAL+, so I guess I have to head for LINQ to SQL. Can someone point me to some tutorials about feeding a Silverlight 2 DNN Module (through a WebService I guess) using LINQ to SQL?

Thanks so much,
Dario Rossa

Hi all,

I just figured out that you just need to drop a LINQ class to the module's folder, drag and drop the needed tables, setup the connection, and start adding methods to the webservice. The Silverlight App now works fine being fed by the DNN database's data, with no more than 50 lines of code. I'm happy I did not find any tutorial to struggle with!

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
