I've created a vb version of the silverlight module for dnn 4.8.1 and couldn't get it to render, no build errors and the viewsource on the page looks correct as far as I can tell. I tried the C# version as well and no joy.

Installed the Silverlight 2.0 version and that works.

Can these two version work together on dnn 4.8.1? I would like to get the CodePlex SlideShow working in dnn 4.8.1 but need to get these two samples working first before I try that.

Thanks, Burl

When you say you created a VB version of the Silverlight module, which module do you mean?

ahh yes that is a JavaScript module so there is no way to really make a "VB version" of it. The problem is I have not posted any source code for the Silverlight 2.0 module. I am working on a tutorial and I will post code in about 3-4 weeks.

Ok, I can deal with C# in that case, but for some reason the Silverlight javascript project type doesn't show up in Blend 2 or 2.5, I've switched between vb and C# project types and no joy.........an I missing something?

It's driving me nuts, and it's a short drive....

Thanks for the quick replies, learned alot from some MS live meeting cast you did on these samples...

Thanks.

Yeah you have to copy and paste the XAML. You can't just open the DotNetNuke project in Blend. At least I haven't figured out a way to make it work.

Well I have found that I can open the DotNetNuke project and add a "Silverlight Link" project. I can then open that project in Expression Blend. I can then switch back and forth and they keep in sync. when I build the Silverlight project it puts the .xap file in DotNetNuke. This works great.

Cool, just found that Silverlight Link, is that part of Visual Studio 2008 or DNN?

Have to play with that...

Thanks, Burl

It is part of Visual Studio 2008 when you install the Silverlight Tools for VS2008
